Tips: What is The Difference Between AC Welding Machine and DC Welding Machine? The output current is used to distinguish AC and DC. The more important weldments (such as boilers, pressure vessels and alloy structural steels) generally use DC welding machine, which has beautiful weld formation, stable arc, small splash, low air consumption, and general welding. The DC welding machine for alkaline welding rods has good crack resistance and mechanical properties, but the process performance is poor. The AC welding machine mainly welds low carbon steel and low strength low alloy structural steel. Generally, it is welded by welding acid electrode. The acid electrode can be used for both AC and DC, and the welding process performance is good, but the mechanical properties of the weld, especially the impact toughness is poor. The price of the DC welder equipment is slightly higher than that of the AC welder, and the durability is slightly poor and the maintenance cost is high.
